Her classical training combined with her trans-cultural sensibility ensures that intellect, artistry, and simplicity are always present in her approach to the Healing Arts.
Laoura holds Master’s degrees in Classical Piano Performance and Composition from the National Conservatory of Athens. Her postgraduate studies include Electronic Music, Yoga Philosophy, and advanced Sound Healing with Planetary Gongs and Tibetan Singing Bowls, rooted in the ancient Buddhist system of vibrational medicine.
She has collaborated with many distinguished musicians in the fields of classical, jazz, and ethnic music, performing in concerts and festivals across Europe.
In 1997, a profound life-changing event—a serious health challenge—became a turning point that redirected her path toward healing and sound therapy.
For more than 10 years, she traveled extensively through India and Nepal, studying Nada Yoga (the Yoga of Sound) and exploring the integration of subtle vibrations, Tibetan Bowls, and voice in spiritual practice and healing.
Her journey deepened in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she encountered the “Sacred Universal Sound” through Planetary Gongs and the Pythagorean “Music of the Spheres.”
Inspired by these experiences, she trained further with pioneering sound masters including Sylvia Nakash, Jonathan Goldman, and Dr. John Beaulieu in the USA, expanding her expertise in vibrational medicine and the therapeutic use of tuning forks.
She is a member of Sound Healers Association .
As a composer, Laoura has written original scores for film, including the award-winning documentary Pelican Watch and the feature film The First Line – Promakhos. Her album Gong Bath – The Healing Sound is a sonic journey into the resonance of the Sun Gong.
In addition to her musical and sound work, Laoura is a certified Oriental Massage Therapist, trained in Traditional Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Ayurveda Medicine, Pranic Healing, and is also a Yin Yoga instructor.
She currently offers sound therapy sessions, workshops, and wellness retreats that combine Sound Baths, Yin Yoga, Breathwork, and Voice practices in Santorini and throughout Greece, creating unique immersive experiences of healing, balance, and transformation.
